TIME TO PREPARE FOR OPERATION STOP THIEF



 



TRUTH TROOPERS!  GET YOUR LOCAL GROUPS ORGANIZED AND READY TO ROLL.  THE MOVEMENT IS ON THE MOVE!



TIME FOR THE FINGERS TO ROLL UP INTO A FIST!



 



          We’ve been talking about it, and we’ve been urging all Truth Troopers to get together in their areas to get acquainted and exchange contact information, but now it’s time to do something about it.  And it’s going to be FUN, FUN, FUN.



 



          OPERATION STOP THIEF! is scheduled for April 15, 2008, and will be an annual event for Truth Attack until the beast comes out of its cave and admits that it has been lying to the American public.  What is it?  How does it work?  How are we going to do it? 



 



          On April 15 many post offices across the country will be receiving mail out front until midnight to accept tax returns from millions of last minute filers.  Some of these folks are just procrastinators, but the vast majority of them are holding off to the last minute because they are having to include a check with their returns.  Who better to tell about the IRS tax fraud?  What better time to tell them than when the blood is still wet?



 



          That afternoon and evening Truth Troopers across the country will be at those post offices, holding signs saying “What Income Tax?” and “TruthAttack.org” and handing these bleeding victims flyers saying “You’ve Just Been Robbed!  Go to TruthAttack.org and find out how.”



 



          But it doesn’t stop there.  Every television station in the country does the obligatory bit on the “last minute filers”, showing video of the line of cars filing through the post office, a postal worker taking envelops and tossing them into a big bin.  The news crews have to be bored silly and carping about having to cover the same story year after year.  But HARK!  What do they find at the post office?  People waving signs.  People handing out provocative flyers.  What kind of story do you think they will bring back to the station?  Many are going to interview one of those Truth Troopers and bring back something new and interesting.



 



          Truth Troopers, you can accomplish more for public awareness in one afternoon and evening than the entire tax honesty community has in the years it has been wrangling with the IRS for an honest answer to “What law makes me liable?”  You can make a huge difference and have a blast doing it. 



 



          If you haven’t formed your local group, get out the list we sent you and get together.  If you have formed your group or when you do form it, designate one of your group to serve as the contact Trooper and have him email Headquarters with the following information:  1) The location of the group, 2) the number of people in the group, 3) the number of post office branches your group will be covering and 4) the contact Trooper’s preferred shipping address (to receive the group’s OST materials).



 



          The materials will provide What Income Tax signs, specific instructions and time line for preparations and a list of things to check on to make sure the operation stays within local ordinances and laws.  The materials will also include a master flyer you can make copies of to distribute and signs for the group to display to the late filers and passers by.



 



THIS IS GOING TO BE A TERRIFIC AND EFFECTIVE PROJECT.

URGENT APPEAL FOR FUNDING

WE HAVEN’T ASKED FOR CONTRIBUTIONS FOR MONTHS, BUT THIS YEAR’S PROJECTS NEED YOUR HELP



 



          Everyone has a hand out asking for more and more, so we have tried to make do on what we have, but with the projects we have going now we have to ask for your help.  Operation Stop Thief, which requires that we purchase and send out a lot of signs and the new legal front we are about to open are both going to take funds for expenses and press release distribution and the like (and there are activities that are “covert”, things TA does and is planning that are not “discussed” openly).  TA received contributions totaling a little over $17,000 in 2007 (Thank You!) and we used all but $3,000 of that (Where did it go?  See the financial report posted on the web site).  Operation Stop Thief is going to cost us about $20,000, meaning we need to raise in the next six weeks as much as we did all of last year.



 



          No one at Truth Attack receives (or expects) any compensation for services.  As we have said before, TA is a non-profit corporation.  It is not in the tax honesty “industry” and… TA will be posting periodic statements on its web site showing you exactly what has been contributed and where every penny was disbursed.
