Where Are You, Conyers?

In 2005, before John Conyers became chair of the House Committee on the Judiciary, he introduced a bill to explore impeaching the president and was asked by Lewis Lapham of Harpers why he was for impeachment then. He replied:

“To take away the excuse that we didn’t know. So that two, or four, or ten years from now, if somebody should ask, ‘Where were you, Conyers, and where was the U.S. Congress?’ when the Bush administration declared the Constitution inoperative…none of the company here present can plead ignorance or temporary insanity [or] say that ‘somehow it escaped our notice.’”

In the three years since then, the train of abuses and usurpations has gotten longer and Conyers has become chair of the committee. Yet he has dawdled and dawdled, and has shown no appetite for impeachment.

On July 23, 2007, Conyers told Cindy Sheehan, Rev. Lennox Yearwood, and me that he would need 218 votes in the House and they were not there.

A week ago, 251 members of the House voted to refer to Conyers’ committee the 35 Articles of Impeachment proposed by Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

I know my concern. Your quote above does not sound like my concern is known by you. My thinking, perhaps not your thinking, concerning the Karma feature on this web site is a relative comparison of that Karma feature with something called: Credit. I can explain how this forum’s Karma feature relates to monetary Credit and other forms of Credit and Debt systems used by human beings, to do so may require your help if the idea is to be accurate rather than be ambiguous.

To me that above is ambiguous. My guess is that you are not in agreement concerning the quote above your negative answer specifically because you consider a need to answer more than the “only question that remains to be answered”.

If my other guess is right where I guess that you doubt “as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes”, then that guess of mine would be right.

I can offer as many guess as there are grains of sand on the beach.

My intent in linking the latest Impeachment News here includes intent to remove ambiguity and replace ambiguity with precision. My guess is that ‘the current administration’ is incapable of action and therefore cannot commit any crimes, however I no longer doubt the fact that enough evidence is readily available to justify an official trial for murder by at least Dick Cheney and George W. Bush. My preference would be to hand those two over to whatever puppet regime they have purchased with their loot in Iraq where their court system would be less brutal than ours. I’m compassionate. Perhaps that is a fault in modern times; like honesty.

In other words: If an typical murder trial were conducted here in the U.S. those two would be put to death very slowly while their fate in a typical trial in Iraq would be swift.

Indeed. No life form should be subjected to torture.

The only question that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered the use of torture will be held to account.

In the here and now, those responsible will not be held accountable but karma is karma and they have a deficit balance.

Your quest for knowledge is to be applauded. But, sometimes our 'truth' is invalid. What you believed as a child may no longer be true once an adult. Pleasure is derived from the hunt; knowledge the by-product.

I do not often employ lies and violence as a means of accomplishing a desired goal, however any reasonable person can and will do so during extreme conditions such as being in line at the torture chamber door where people scream for days before being executed and dumped into a huge pile of rotting and mutilated corpses.

I’m going to read your reply again and then comment on your reply again to see, again, if I have your reply understood in the context of this forum topic where the topic concerns an effort to begin a trial against suspected torturing mass murderers.

Impeachment News

I may be lacking in my effort to bridge the gap, therefore I’ll re-read the green words before your response in the fence above.

Please understand that my concern is to learn and do so accurately concerning Impeachment News where some people are moving toward a trail of suspected torturers and mass murderers.

I’m going to paint a picture of where my nagging self-critical voice inside my head triggers criticism of others so as to make my perception more clearly published on this public forum.

I picture myself next to a mother holding her baby as the brains run out of the baby after a cluster bomb exploded and sent a very high speed hot mass through the babies head. That hot piece of mass could be traced back to the source and a paper trail could be known as to who and what enabled that hot piece of mass to pass through the infants head held by the mother next to me.

Is that clear?

My criticism intends to reduce the profits that flow toward the people who pre-mediated and execute the initiation of force that results in those hot and fast projectiles torturing and murdering massive numbers of innocent people – at least.

I can confess to paying taxes that flow to the people who are now pretending to bring the torturing mass murderers to trial as I stand next to the mother with the brains flowing out of the baby.

If the idea is to defend against torture and mass murder in a more civilized manner, or some lesser crime, then the steps taken on that path could be aided in some manner by which effective steps are taken rather than stepping right into the torture chamber like a child rushing into a candy shop.
