I try to use subtle hints and pokes in the direction of restoring the republic "in the right situations" to change peoples minds. I find that forcefulness doesn't work.
And it is not so much to change someones mind as to show them the truth. When is the right time or situation? Tax day is a good start. Search this site and find out what you can use. Give friends family hints Links to sites you think are knowledgable.

Well shock was my 1st response when I watched AFTF then anger then I wanted to fight...So how do we fight our government?? We stand up together and not give up our rights!
This forum is one of the best places I have found to help keep my sanity. Knowing that there are other likeminded people out there to communicate with helps out alot.

As for getting others to believe you, not sure if you can change their minds or not but I think the simplist way besides giving them website links, is to make copies of the movies and pass them out, then they can form their own opinions and do their own research. Of course the hope would be that they wake up and realize what is really going on around us.

I feel that most of the people in the US don't really want to hear what we have to say because they think that the United States is just too big and too powerful to fall. These are the same people that someday will be standing on a loading dock waiting to be packed into trains or busses and moved to inturnment camp and will be saying My God how did this happen...Guess what?? First of all hello and welcome. It is very hard to try and get people to believe you. I was on the City council for 8 years before I resigned. I have been around many people and some you just can not even resin with. They will not listen at all. Some you can at least talk to but they just let it go over their heads and then there are the ones that truly care about what happens and do want to listen and help make a change. I have dealt with all of them. And I have realized the ones that don't give a crap there is no use trying to waist any time on them as they really don't care. I have put more effort into the ones that want to listen and who do care as they can also make an impact on our country.

I feel your pain, Madelin. I too am finding it difficult to not be depressed and paralyzed with fear. I know that I must prepare my loved ones for what's coming, but I know that they won't listen either. My children, who live with their mother are my greatest concern. They're in their early teens and would listen and believe what I tell them, but their mom would probably try to have me arrested if I were to "alarm them". I guess we'll all know when the time is right to do what we must. Until then try to remember that there is safety in numbers, and that's their biggest fear.
