This allowed for more money to be lent and other assorted issues which allowed for us to maintain an intrinsinc value on the money rather than what the Federal Reserve was doing at the time. I am NOT exonerating FDR for anything I am PRESENTING FACTS.

Technically without the influence of lack of supply before the prices jumped almost 200% in the last couple months Costs on everything were pretty much EXACTLY the same as they were 100 years ago.

Yes Gold and Silver are fairly standard with minor flucuations that have no bearing on the actual value over time. One of the reasons that it is GOOD to base a Currency on the value of these items. I wonder if Diamonds would work too?

David Merrill has posted some superb research material on FDR, statues at large and stuff from that time. Was some really active years ... alot of change. Agriculture acts, banking act ... HJR-192 ... It paints a portrait once the pieces are aligned right.

Abolishing property rights was at the top of the list it seems.
