The second elected position behind the presidency and vice-presidency is the U.S. Senate. This is true because of the six year term, and the fact that only two Senator's represent each state. I believe that if someone from a small state like New Hampshire could gain enough outside support I/we the Libertarian Party could have someone, who truly represents fiscal responsibility, limited government and could win the 2008 election.
